How do Meeting Types work?

Meeting types are the foundation of a good Piper setup. Each meeting type represents a different kind of conversation β€” and controls what Piper generates, analyzes, and focuses on after each call or meeting is processed.

Setup Meeting types are configured in Settings β†’ Meeting Types. Think of each one as a recipe: a combination of ingredients that tell Piper exactly how to handle that type of conversation.

What you can configure per Meeting Type:

How they get applied Piper assigns meeting types automatically based on your Auto Assign and Team Setup rules β€” no manual tagging needed in most cases, although you can do it in the Home Page.

Changing the output of a meeting If the output isn't right, you have two options: update the meeting type settings and recalculate, or manually swap the Note, Email, or Call Scoring template on that specific activity.

When you define a Meeting Type, you can specify a wide range of customizations, including which AI content to generate, the language to use, whether to sync with the CRM, and much more.
