What is the Piper Desktop App?
The Piper Desktop App is a Mac application that captures any audio conversation directly from your computer — no bot joining the call, no platform restrictions, no asking participants to accept anything.
Once a conversation ends, Piper processes it exactly like a bot-recorded call: full transcript, AI-generated notes, CRM field updates, follow-up emails, and call scoring — all waiting for you automatically.

Record any audio from your Mac
Unlike the Piper bot, which joins video calls as a visible participant, the Desktop App records system audio directly from your device. This means it works with anything you do on your Mac:
- Slack huddles — fully captured, even though Slack doesn't support bots
- Any dialer calls (Aircall and others) — any call you take from your computer
- Google Meets, Zoom, and Teams calls — with or without sending the bot
- Any phone call or conversation from your computer — even platforms Piper has no direct integration with yet

Capabilities
- Record any meeting without a bot — start a local recording directly from the app. Audio is captured from your Mac and sent securely to Piper for processing.
- Control the bot from the app — for meetings where you do want the bot, send or remove it directly from the Desktop App without switching tabs.
- See your upcoming and recent meetings — the app reads your calendar and shows upcoming meetings in a dashboard so you can act on each one before, during, and after the call.
- Assign to CRM objects — link the recording to the right deal, contact, or company and let Piper fill in the CRM fields automatically.
