Piper can automatically assign a Meeting Type to every recorded call. This matters because the Meeting Type controls what Piper generates (summary style, CRM fields, follow-ups, templates, etc.).
This feature works in two layers:
Keyword rules (fast + deterministic):
If a calendar invite title contains a keyword (e.g., “Kickoff”), Piper uses the Meeting Types you’ve mapped to that keyword.
AI selection (smart + flexible):
If you map multiple Meeting Types to the same keyword (or to the default fallback), Piper will use AI and the meeting context (invite title + description + Meeting Type descriptions) to select the best one.

Go to Settings → Meeting Types and make sure the Meeting Types you want are already created.
Tip: Use a consistent naming convention, like:
[CSM] Kick Off[CSM] Follow Up[AE] Discovery + Demo[SDR] Qualification Call
When Piper has to choose between multiple Meeting Types, it relies heavily on the Meeting Type description.
Go to Settings → Meeting Types → Select a Meeting Type, then fill in Description with:
